Dear Orly and Claus

So long times I can't checked my email and few day I can't came to the Internet Shop for reply you because any where in Phnom Penh has raining alot. After that I do it and I don't know why, the internet it doesn't working for my email. I try again and again but i still can not checked it. So it takes long time to reply you and sorry about the delay.


About my study at Wat school (high school) it got so great score in classe and I'm really happy so much when I saw it. And now, you know, I be come Monitor in class because they know that I was in the monkhood and I have knowledge in the Buddhism and freindly so they really love me and the theacher as well.


About the money, I'm really worry for you in my mind, very much, because I'm pety on you so much, everyday you need to completed your working hard and you still think about us in Cambodia.


I'm really wish you all time and please Buddha and God care of you every minutes. And I want to say that you great person that I don't know find words to say of you.




You just send me $100 already and now you send me more $150 it is alot money for me to keep for long time for pay my study and I promise you I'll try to study more and more.


You know when I'm learning English or Khmer study I always think of you because the books in my hands it is giving to me by your kindness and you give me alot knowledge. I can not forget it forever and in my mouth I still say thank to you, very so much, and I allways pray to Buddha to help both of you when I go to bed.
Orly, I think that you should don't think alot about us. For us here is okay and still welcome you every minute. And Saru and me really miss you so much and still remember your smile and your advise all the time, never forget.

Dear Orly & Claus
Thank you a lot for everything. All the valuable help we are getting nowadays is from you, starting from you, and bringing by you. You spend your own, your effort, your kind regards mind. You make all of these helps for us giving us smile and power to improve our future. You not only give us help but also spend your time flying for a long distance with costing much money to see us. It really show us your warm love and kind mind. Just spending time to write you mail is a little thing.

From my heart, I would like to thank so much to your friends, offering their money to help us. They can share their money to help us we can see their mind to us. I would like to send my best regards to all of them by this meaning.

I told the boy your admiring and your words yesterday, and I also told him the amount of new sending money from you and their left money with me, so they know their money with me, about 160 usd. I give freedom to them to tell me what they need but reasonable things. I ask them again and again and encourage them weather they need to buy more text books or not.

He told me, he needs to buy new note books, and he wants new trousers, so this morning I will give his aunt money to buy for him. I told him to tell the girl the same if she needs other things, so she can buy at the same time.
You can tell me all the time about your new idea to spend money. I always follow you if possible. You wanted me to buy them fresh vegetable, but it was impossible because normally their aunt doesn’t cook as she always busy with her work.

Dear Orly & Claus,

We are ok. The time of welcoming the Khmer New Year has just been finished. I don’t have a lot to inform you, just about the kids.

Monthly I spend 12 $ for the car transporting the boy to SIS (private school).

The boy needed a new text book costing 6.5 $ like the first one. I bought him.

Now again he has finished his examination at SIS before last Khmer New Year. He got number 5 among his 20 classmates who are mostly healthy and clean because they come from the rich families in PHNOM PENH.

He told me he is in level 3 now. I’m not sure about it. Maybe level 3 but still level of children. He started from level Sc1 now he is in level Sc3. Anyway, he is going on his English way.

I always advice him what he should do such as study hard, and so does his aunt. I told him about you all have being appreciated and happy with the results of his studies. I myself also give my admiring to him. He is not the best one among kids in SIS, but he is doing his best.

You know, some time in the evening I play ball with him and other boys in the pagoda in front of our temple. Normally, he plays badminton with his young sister.

For Chanthy, she still continues her English class as she is like before. She is ok , and her health is not bad too. I spent for the second month of her English class already. She seems brave to let me ask her about English words that she has learned.

About extra-food showing in the photos, the first one they got before Khmer New Year. I did the same. I gave 10 $ to their aunt and what she buy was like in the photos. Some sweet mango, they both shared everything a half, and at that time they did not spend all 10 $. The aunt kept 10000 Riels (2,5 USD), and shared to both of them a half also, because the boy needs 5000 R to join arranged party with his public school teacher in the chance having a break for a while during Khmer New Year, and the girl she kept this 5000 R to buy little thing she wanted.

The second one as in the unclear photos, I am very sorry about these unclear photos because I couldn’t afford to take by the good phone like the before. This phone has a 2 megapixel camera only, so it is not clear taking in my room. I will try to find the good phone to take much more clearly next time. I bought them this morning and prepare to send you today because I will be busy tomorrow. Before I buy, I asked the two children what they like. They boy agrees with what the girl like to buy, and the girl she still wants milk. She said when she has milk; she always makes a bottle of milk to take with her to school. She like it, but this time she wants to taste fresh milk as well, so I bought 12 cans of fresh milk, 5 cans of ordinary milk, a Milo (like Ovantine but I like Milo and I think they like too.), and a little hair shampoo that the girl needs. It is all about them. Their money is 71.25 USD.


How about Mette, Lene, and Hans do they have the same Easter holiday like you? And are they still leaning hard to finish their last year?

The amount of money for me is increasing. Could you tell me why? I will spend most of this money on my English class. I need one year more to finish it.
Thank you very much for everything. For the kids I am doing like what you want, but what you are offering is giving them a better life than before already. Like the boy, he just needs the time and he has to help himself only. I will continue this work when you still need me to do. I also tell him try to learn English, so he will be able to contact with you directly in the short future. For Yos, I told him your mind to him already since you asked me to say hello to him.

Good news from Borin and the children

Dear Orly & Claus,

We all are like normal. I hope you are fine too.

Last Sunday, I gave 10 usd to the children telling them to tell their aunt to buy what they need and like to eat such as fruit or others things, and then they gave to their aunt. In this photo is what their aunt bought for them. A case of instant noodle costing nearly 30000 Riel (7,5 USD), and other things, for this instant noodle, it is Cambodia’s product called OUR NOODLE contain 50 packages, one package can make each of them full. It is more expensive than Thailand’s instant noodle in Cambodia, but it tastes good. Maybe their aunt wants them to have this noodle for their breakfast everyday, so she can cut down her spending on them too.
You know she said she think the boy is better than before stronger, and healthier.
Now their total money left is 113 USD. I added 2 usd more on 8usd, so I spend about 10 usd every two weeks, but I told them if what they need is much more than 10 usd I will give more.

I took photos by telephone of another temple boy, so it is not clear like by camera. The photos before that were not clear was because I took by phone not camera.
Maybe, you think this is junk food, but this is what they want. I will try to ask them for other kind of food next time.

Till now the boy still couldn’t get information weather he can borrow books to read at home or not. He tells me he will try to ask his teacher. He tell me all the children are always keep on upstairs before his class finish, but when the class finish they have to get into the car immediately, so it is not easy to get into the library. This time he needs to buy a hand board and a marker to write. I bought him. This month, in his public school the boy, Rotha, gets grade 1, number 1 among his classmates. He said he never get such result before.

For the girl, now she is also studying English in the evening. She herself who ask me for this, she said she wants to studies English now. This time, I see she really wants to study. I think it’s because there are other two girls in the temple who is her friend go to study too. I don’t know how long she can keep her mind that want to study like now. It just cost 3 usd per month (the old English class of the boy before starting SIS). It is in Wat Koh high school which is near the temple. Today, she tell to buy a new toothpaste. I always buy a big one every time. It show that they brush their regularly.

The death of my father, I told you with a mail at that time with other information, but I did not know why you didn’t see it. But it is a sad thing for me, and I think it is not good information for you to know. I think I told you too much about me and my family. Telling bad information is not making you smile, but maybe just troubling your mind.

For my practice this time, my monitor is very strict to me, so I am getting much word from him most of the days. I also have to do much work ordering by him. He is a surgeon in that hospital. Anyway, his strict will cause me try more in my practice. Till now I see many kinds of operation.

About the children:

For the kids, they are ok. The boy is processing his studying both in public school and at SIS (Private school: Singapore International School). I buy them extra-food regularly, once a week, and other things like shampoo, toothpaste…

About the money:
As I told you, if you don’t have any ideas, I manage to spend their money till the end of June- for transportation 12 usd per month, for extra-food 4 usd a week, and books or something else that is necessary for the boy’s studies.

About Borin:
For me, now I’m starting my semester 2 at medical school. I am doing my surgery practice at another public hospital, Russia hospital. For the last two months, it was really hard for me. My family and I are ok. I always wear helmet when I drive motorbike. Thanks so much for you take care of me, Anette.

Peach med en kunde, hun kan tjene 1 usd per dag ved at fylde luft i diverse hjul. Pengene er nok til maden. Sots indtejning skal gå til at bygge butikken og et hus (man har lov til at drømme).

Italiano: Peach con cliente, durante il giorno lei fa cirka 1 USD e questi soldi bastano per mangiare. Il soldi che fa Sot usano per far il negozio e forse, magari, piu avanti fano anche uan casa.
