Saru took his 6 years old nephew, Sna, with him from the village to stay with him in the buddhist temple. He hope to give Sna an opportunity to go to a better school than in the village and to improve his life. Sna will be a new member of our project and we will support him with food, school uniforms, books and transpotation to the village. We all whish Sna good luck in his new temple life. Thanks for all the sponsors who make it possible to help more children.
Education Aid to Cambodia started in February 2006. I met the monk, Saru, and decided to help him by a good university education and he is now studying law.
On several trips to Cambodia, visiting Saru, I met a lot of poverty and misery and therefore I extended this project supported by family and friends from Denmark, Norway, Italy and Belgium.
Our project support 11 kids & young people and based on help by education. Our motto is HELP FOR SELF HELP or as Saru said, it is better to give a person a fishing net than to give him a fish….
The support is spread in ever-widening circles or like one of my kids, Borin, wrote me in a mail: I CAN SEE YOUR MIND. LITTLE STONES MAKE MOUNTAINS, LITTLE STEPS CAN COVER MILES, LITTLE ACTS OF LOVING - KINDNESS GIVES THE WORLD SMILES.
