- Education Aid to Cambodia started in February 2006. I met the monk, Saru, and decided to help him by a good university education and he is now studying law. On several trips to Cambodia, visiting Saru, I met a lot of poverty and misery and therefore I extended this project supported by family and friends from Denmark, Norway, Italy and Belgium. Our project support 11 kids & young people and based on help by education. Our motto is HELP FOR SELF HELP or as Saru said, it is better to give a person a fishing net than to give him a fish…. The support is spread in ever-widening circles or like one of my kids, Borin, wrote me in a mail: I CAN SEE YOUR MIND. LITTLE STONES MAKE MOUNTAINS, LITTLE STEPS CAN COVER MILES, LITTLE ACTS OF LOVING - KINDNESS GIVES THE WORLD SMILES.
